Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 Will Be Adding 4 New Maps

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has disclosed exciting news for its players, with the announcement of a Season 1 free content drop that introduces four new multiplayer maps and the eagerly awaited return of the Gunfight mode. Among the four maps, three will cater to 6v6 gameplay, while the fourth will feature a 2v2 Gunfight mode.

The official announcement was made via a blog post, which revealed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III  and Call of Duty: Warzone Season 1 is speculated to arrive later this year.

As a part of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s Season 1, the new maps are:

From its initial release, Modern Warfare 3 faced severe criticism, securing a Metacritic score of 50, which marked it as the lowest-rated game in the series. One considerable critique centered on the reuse of maps from Modern Warfare 2.

Despite this, the inclusion of three new multiplayer maps points a positive direction, addressing their user concerns and injecting freshness into the gameplay experience.

The return of the Gunfight mode, already popular since its launch in 2019, is expected to be warmly welcomed by the gaming community. The addition of more maps to this mode might heighten the enjoyment for players seeking close-ranged engagements.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Has a Suprise

As an added surprise, the blog post teased upcoming events in Season 1 including a special Snowy Event. The developers write:

“There’s still room for surprises throughout the season including MP Ranked and a special snowy event at mid-season and more. Stay tuned for even more detailed intel in the coming weeks.”

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is a first-person shooter game, developed by Sledgehammer and Infinity Ward.
