Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Has a Very Handy Feature

It is an old event where Ubisoft, the developers behind Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, released its gameplay at Summer Game Fest. The 21-minute-long video was far enough to impress nostalgic gamers. However, one interesting feature went unnoticed till now.

Recently, a Reddit user Fantastic-Rule-4557 noticed and brought our attention to it. The new feature Direction Pole Swing, monikered by Fantastic-Rule-4557, allows the character to choose the direction to leap off the pole while swinging.

In the Prince of Persia series users were not allowed to leap at our discretion. However, this new feature might come in very handy. The direction to hop is suspected to be selected with WASD or with the analog stick.

Can be Better

Even though the feature indeed looks awesome, it can be made more realistic. From the given video, it seems that the direction of jumping is pre-determined, irrespective of timing.

The automatic jumping as per the physical mechanisms might feel more realistic than the manual selection of direction.
