Marvel Rivals early users can’t provide negative reviews due to ‘Non-disparagement’ contract

Marvel Rivals is currently under the testing of closed alpha allowing popular content creators to engage in epic PvP battles and share experience with their audience. However early players are made to sign Non-disparagement that prevents any kind of criticism or negative review.

Popular Twitch content creator Brandom Larned, popularly known by A_Seagull expressed disappointment in comparison with its competitors, and detrimental speech leading to the bad reputation of Marvel Rivals is strictly prohibited. Sadly most creators signed the contract without carefully reading just to get early access and key codes.

Below are the restrictions of Marvel Rivals’ Non-Disparagement contract

  • The Content Creator agrees not to make any public statements or engage in discussions that are detrimental to the reputation of the game. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Making disparaging or satirical comments about any game-related material, such as game features, characters, or music.
  • Engaging in malicious comparisons with competitors or belittling them. gameplay or differences of “Marvel Rivals” or providing subjective negative reviews of the game.

Another Twitch creator and YouTuber Asmongold TV exposed the terms and conditions of the contract. It seems like sponsored talks where gamers are forced to keep the audience in darkness by picking the positive side of the game.

While there’s a flaw that grants alpha key through direct referral from a close friend without the actual need to be bound by the contract. There has been no official response from the developers yet.
