Giant Software’s Farming Simulator is a popular franchise that deals with everything related to farming. Players are at their will to explore the vast open world and do stuff ranging from agriculture to forestry work and rearing to farming animals, and most importantly, economics. The developers have added a new game to this lineup: Farming Simulator 25.
New Features in Farming Simulator 25
While there are several farming simulation games like FarmVille or StardewValley, Farming Simulator 25 stands out exceptionally with its stunning graphics. The game developers paid careful attention to minute gameplay mechanisms if you notice minutely. For instance, real-world farming methods, processes, or machinery.
Farming Simulator 25 boasts new natural calamities like twisters and hailstorms compared to its predecessors. Interestingly, the post-disaster atmosphere also impacts the crops in some cases.
Also, there are new additions of crops like rice, spinach, peas, and green beans. If you are an animal rearer, you now have goats, water buffalo, and baby animals in your pen.
For farming activities, GPS-assisted plowing and harvesting improve accuracy and efficiency. To assist in these activities, 400+ machines from 150+ agricultural brands are made available. These farming activities appear to be making realistic changes.
Gameplay Experience
Though the graphics are stunning for their minute details, they can be classified as “nice.” FS25 has added dynamic ground deformation, where players can visibly see the terrain being altered using heavy machinery.
As mentioned earlier, 400+ machines and new crops have added variety to gaming. These additions aren’t just for mechanisms; players can now expand their farms in three new regions: North America, East Asia, and Central Europe. New maps also add atmospheric conditions, which must be considered for better crop returns.
Since the video game focuses on sharpening farming skills, it offers many customization options. For instance, crops at your disposal, machines & their tools, farm layouts, and building your warehouses.

Moreover, the game has a robust multiplayer system. Since it supports cross-play, you can invite your friends to your farm. In multiplayer mode, you can manage a farm mutually or divide the tasks like planting, watering, and harvesting. Intriguingly, players can even share the economy.
The Co-op mode enables up to 16 players to join a session.
However, things aren’t going well for players. FS25 has dropped its compatibility with older platforms, but the modding community still supports it.
Player reviews
LegoTheLizard adds, “I just got the game today after watching Jeff Faviango on YouTube get early access for it, and it intrigued me. My Dad and Brother have always been into the game, but I just never could seem to grasp it.”
“Right on release I hopped in the main thing I noticed was you are going to want to iron out all your settings majorly but after that, the game is super easy to learn and I already have figured out the next-gen GPS/steering assist and that was after about an hour in the game. I’m really enjoying it!“
NiMh HD says, “Xbox Series X locked at 30 fps. Huge letdown. Possibly a deal breaker for me tbh, so far it’s stuttery and laggy with way too much texture pop-in. It is day 1 and I bought the year 1 version, so I’m not giving up on Giants. Owned and enjoyed every installment since 15.”
“New menus and UI are great, and ground deformation and physics are great. The world feels alive and looks nice. Right in line with what I expected from this dev and franchise. Looking forward to more! 30 fps is simply not excusable today though on PS5 and XBsX,“.
Since Farming Simulator 25 boasts a vast open world, and now that the new mechanisms have been added, it might take a little longer to master the game. While the graphics are minutely tuned, some players have noticed little lags and glitches in the gameplay.
Nonetheless, this is relaxing gameplay and the best version of the Farming Simulator franchise. Currently, the game is priced at $75 and available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, Mac, and Windows.
