AYN Technologies’ Odin2 Portal has begun testing and is set for a global shipment later this week. This new stunning gaming handheld aims to take the gaming experience to the next level at an affordable price. If a gamer is looking forward to a larger Android gaming handheld, Odin2 Portal would not be an upset.
The Odin2 Portal has a sleek design with all glass, appearing more like a smartphone. Its 7-inch 1080p 120Hz display even rivals ROG Ally, and outranks Steam deck which runs at a 60Hz refresh rate.
AYN’s Odin2 Portal appears to be a generational upgrade or a high-end alternative to its Odin2. To mention it, the Odin2 has a 6-inch LCD screen with a 60Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, the Odin2 Portal sports a 7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
On the other hand, Odin2 Portal uses the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor as the Odin 2 and Odin Mini. The advanced 3D curved display is the primary advancement in it.

When compared to Steam Deck and ROG Ally, the key difference is Android 13 being used by Odin2 Portal. Given this, Odin2 Portal might offer better battery life, when compared to its counterparts that run Linux and Windows.
However, ROG Ally’s powerful AMD Ryzen processors and RDNA 3 graphics make it more suitable for AAA titles. Odin2 Portal appears to be highly limited to Android gaming.
Nonetheless, Odin2 Portal has the latest connectivity with Wi-Fi 7, outperforming the other two.
