Later this month, Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom will finally be available, with Zelda as a second playable character. Recently, a gaming journalist provided fans with the first look at the world map of Echoes of Wisdom. While Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom will release on 26th September, someone has leaked an entire ROM (an unauthorized copy of the game’s data files) ahead of launch, and players are already playing it on their emulators.
Recently, a YouTube channel, Nintendo Prime, was reportedly sent a link, which turns out to be the ROM of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. Nintendo Prime reports that they have checked out the ROM, which appears to be real. The channel has refused to provide the link to ROM, citing that it is “illegal and career-ending to do so. I do not believe in piracy.”
Moreover, the content creator of Zelda, Zelda Lore too has confirmed the leak is real and has asked players to be careful to remain spoiler free.

Just because Nintendo Prime refused to share leaked footage, does not mean that every YouTube channel will follow the ideal path. Several players have already pre-ordered Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom and seem to be awaiting the official release, rather than playing leaked ROM. Correspondingly, they are afraid of being getting hit by spoilers. And their unease is all valid. Given the excitement among the players, it’s very likely that the gaming social media will be filled with spoilers.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom will be released on Switch on September 26. Till then, Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom fans are advised to proceed cautiously through social media to gain the maximum entertainment from the game when released.
