The very tenet of choosing PlayerUnknons’ Battlegrounds over other battle arenas was its Recoil mechanisms. Managing the upward movement of the weapon from the crosshair is an engaging challenge in the game, that furnished the real firearm experience. But, now it appears Krafton is altering the core principle of PUBG.
Krafton recently released the 31.1 update, introducing several Clan Challenges, Missions, and token overhauls. However, the most intriguing and disputed one was the inclusion of the Muzzle Break Attachment.
A clip from a Reddit user exhibits the effortless spray with the Muzzle Break attachment. With the reduced vertical recoil and less camera shake while firing, Muzzle Break seems to be overpowered. The Muzzle Break had left players with divided opinions. While some players say it is cool, some have called it spoonfeeding.
Is it to reduce the skill gap between Skilled and Rookies?
Controlling the recoil is a very crucial factor in determining the survival and ultimately chicken dinner. Players have already spent several hours to days handling the recoil, and the new attachment is almost like gifting the skill without investing any input.
It’s no doubt that the existing and experienced players already developed arena tactics, and are utilizing them on maps. And to be honest, PUBG is indeed unforgiving for newbies and it becomes daunting for them to play in such unfair fashions. Subsequently, it could be a developer’s inclusion to maintain the Fairplay and reduce the skill gap between both.
Even though a good initiative, can’t it be exploited by experienced players? Unfairly, proficient players can manipulate the 6x scope firing by attaching the Muzzle Break.
