The 6 Best Hidden Features in Stardew Valley

Exploit these hidden features, immediately...

When it comes to building a vast world to explore, some things don’t go as planned. And, the vast world isn’t just confined to a massive map, it can be extensive activities or arrays of sports or actions. Even though Stardew Valley offers limited confined boundaries, it manifests the freedom of choosing varied workouts. This abundance of activities enables developers to embed a few hidden features.

While it’s been long since the last Stardew Valley 1.6 update, a few slots of features are unknown to many. And, if known, they aren’t exploited by them.

6. Lucky Purple Shorts

The in-game description of Lucky Purple Shorts in Stardew Valley

Better not return it to Mayor Lewis

As we know, Lucky Purple Shorts are a part of the quest and belong to Mayor Lewis. But these pants could offer more than we thought. These pants can be chopped and used in soups, an enjoyment for a whole. Or even used to torture Mayor Lewis.

Now comes the perfect use, the players can sink it into the aquarium and it will work as a showcase piece. Moreover, surprisingly, it ties in with the Advanced Iridium Rod and acts as a fishing tool.

5. Say Goodbye to the Moss

Moss growing on trees in Stardew Valley

Interesting for Designers

As most of the hygiene freaks tend to craft beautiful farms, fruits, or gardens, cleanliness becomes a core factor. During rainy days, we notice the accumulation of moss on trees more frequently, and players have to grab the axe to get rid of it.

Fortunately, players don’t have to go through all these efforts. Just pour the vinegar all across your wood logs, and you are all set to maintain farm beauty.

4. Unlimited Purple Shorts

From Mayor Lewis’ basement

Most of us might be familiar with a secret trick that supplies free Purple Short from Mayor Lewis’s basement. Be careful, the short will attack, but it’s worth defeating.

Interestingly, there’s a glitch that creates a loop and allows us to have as many shorts from the same location.

3. Turn Meowmere Weapon into the Infinity Blade

Forging Infinity Sword in Stardew Valley

You just need an Ancient Doll

The true form of the Galaxy Sword is the Infinity Blade. To get it, players will need an Ancient Doll (an artifact item found by digging a few spots) to the lava pool. The skeleton-type dragon will grant you Far Away Stone.

Carry this Far Away Stone to the pedestal, located on the right side of the room, and a portal will appear. The cat coming from the portal will give the Meowmere Weapon. Use the Galaxy Soul and 20 Cinder Shards to forge it into the Infinity Blade.

2. The Very Rare Tea Set for Sale

Tea Set in Stardew Valley

But at a huge price

Among a few of the rarest items, the Tea Set is the most occasional one. Tea Set can only be obtained during the Feast of the Winter Star, that too in a gift from Caroline. Players have to be incredibly lucky to obtain it from the gift chest.

But there’s now another way, and an easy way to claim Tea Set. There is a very low chance, but the Tea Set might be available in the Traveling Cart for 1,000,000 gold. Yeah, the price is way too high, but this is the only way to get it, apart from a gift or resort to Stardew Valley mod.

1. Six Free Chests

Wait for the Annual Night Market

During the Annual Night Market in winter, players can get Six Chests for free. All you have to do is wait for the Annual Night and start doing this trick from the 15th to the 17th of the winter.

Go into the submarine and place random items. Do the same on the Mermaid Boat. On doing it, go to sleep, and the next day you will find two chests with the placed items in them (Yes, you did not lose your items). Repeat this process for the rest two days, and get six chests.
