The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is now officially rated by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) and the rate summary confirms Zelda as the second playable character, alongside Link. Echoes of Wisdom is scheduled to be launched on September 26, 2024, only for Nintendo Switch.
ESRB documents The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, “This is an adventure game in which players assume the role of Zelda as she attempts to dispel rifts throughout Hyrule and rescue Link.” “As Link, players use a sword and arrows to defeat enemies; Zelda can use a magic wand to summon creatures (e.g., wind-up knights, pig soldiers, slime) for battle.”
Echoes of Wisdom was first revealed at Nintendo Direct in June 2024 and the developers announced the changeover everyone wanted. Historically, Princess Zelda has rarely been a playable character other than in spin-offs like Hyrule Warriors and Cadence of Hyrule. Echoes of Wisdom is surely up to doing something different; with the characters and the sword; Zelda is taking the lead to dispel rifts throughout Hyrule with a magic wand instead of a sword.
ESRB has rated the title E10+ while giving us a glimpse of how would the fights go. “Battle sequences are somewhat frenetic, with several enemies attacking/fighting at once.”, ESRB.
