A document containing details of Aliens Fireteam Elite 2 has surfaced online, leaking information on the story campaign, playable characters, weapons, and the platforms for the release. The original Reddit poster Firemonkey11 alleged the information to be from the Disney data hack of over 1TB.
The game under the codename ‘Project Macondo’ is scheduled to be released in the third quarter of the year 2025. It will be the sequel to Aliens: Fireteam Elite (AFE) and will feature 13 campaign missions which could take 12 hours of gameplay for the ideal scope.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, 3rd Person Co-op shooter, is poised to have 9 core enemy types, 5 DAGGER characters, and a total of 13 weapons. The new Annihilation Mode will have a map with 4-6 arenas.
From the leaked presentation, it appears the company doesn’t have plans to add microtransactions, in-game advertisements, or even Gatcha features (loot crates). Players will have no user accounts in the game and will be able to communicate with first-party platform communication tools (Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation).

After having a closer look at the comments, players have expressed their disappointment by saying it is a downgrade. For instance, unlike AFE, Project Macondo will boast preset preset character archetypes and non-customizable characters. Project Macondo has removed in-game voice chat which was among a beloved feature in AFE on consoles.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite was released in 2023 by Cold Iron Studio in collaboration with Disney’s 20th Century Games. As Disney has suffered 1TB of data hack, the news just coming after the incident might give it reliability.
However following several dismays, no crossplay, and no drop in and outs, users have started doubting the credibility of the leak. Therefore, it is advised to take the news with a pinch of salt.
