According to rumors by reputed Rockstar Insider Tez2, Rockstar Games might bring GTA 5 on PC Game Pass in August. There is no official confirmation but the leaker claims Grand Theft Auto 5 would be playable via Rockstar Games Launcher (RGL) and won’t support cross-platform.
As we know, popular game titles left Xbox Game Pass in this year’s initial months, including GTA 5. If this news is accurate, PC players with Game Pass can enjoy GTA 5 and GTA Online for free. But for sure, Rockstar Games won’t let their most popular game stay on Xbox for too long.
“Rockstar Games is preparing GTAV to be playable via Xbox’s PC Game Pass for future availability.”
Additionally, another report by the ResetEra forum (first spotted by IGN) confirms Mafia: Definitive Edition arriving on Xbox from August 13 onwards.

Puedo confirmar el rumor de Nate The Hate sobre que Mafia Definitive Edition llega a Gamepass en Agosto, pero voy mas allá y les digo una fecha aproximada, y es que llegaría el día 13.

After GTA 5 is available for PC Pass, users need to renew their Xbox Pass to play GTA Online regularly which might be frustrating so purchasing the game for PC costs $30 giving lifetime access to the game.
GTA Online is getting the Mission Creator tool, on the other side only a few months left until GTA 6 releases in 2025 so this seems a good time for new users to play the GTA series.
