Clash of Clans is banning accounts that use unauthorized 3rd party software

The Clash of Clans team is reportedly taking action against accounts using cheats, exploits, automation software, emulators, bots, hacks, mods, or any unauthorized third-party software.

On April 30, 2024, Supercell informed us about their increased efforts in targeting accounts that are at an unfair advantage in Clash of Clans. Following the announcement, Supercell has started taking action against those users.

Supercell says,

As mentioned before, we’re targeting bot accounts, which are used to gain an unfair advantage in the game. That said, we’re permanently banning all accounts identified as bots. Players utilizing third-party software will also be permanently banned.

The actions came to our notice when a few players reported frequent account bans. Among them, a Reddit user, Bulldogs1613, got his 3 Clash of Clans accounts banned for using unauthorized third-party software or for automated gameplay. On a closer look, it appears the user had the game running on Bluestacks.

It could be Bluestacks Macros functionality that allows you to record a sequence of taps, swipes, and other actions on the screen. While Supercell has not explicitly banned Macros, the complex and automated clicks might be flagged.

Be aware if you too use Bluestacks and similar emulators. These emulators might have some functionalities that could trigger Supercell systems. Instead, you can switch to Google Play Beta, which is an official Google mechanism to experience mobile games on a PC. And Clash of Clans is an associate.
