Yibambe! it’s quite good news for Marvel fans, who soon will take over Black Panther and rule the Wakanda.

Back in July 2022, Jeff Grubb, a game journalist reported the early development of Electronic Arts’ single-player affair – Marvel’s Black Panther. Since then, we haven’t heard much about it until we came across EA’s job posting.

Cliffhanger Games, an Electronic Arts Studio, is looking for a Principal Sandbox Designer, for Marvel’s Black Panther game, who will be responsible for designing and populating encounters, systems, and gameplay within a dynamic and evolving open world.

The above job page has noted several commitments, of which the following hints are notable ones:

  • …contribute to a rich, sandbox environment
  • …to create sophisticated AI behaviors that enhance the open-world experience
  • …to ensure that sandbox elements support and enrich the narrative and gameplay objectives
  • …to integrate visual and environmental elements seamlessly into sandbox designs
  • …development of systems and templates for dynamic events and interactions
  • …integrate sandbox dynamics into the mission design

Marvel’s Black Panther will boast a dynamic open world based on Wakanda to unravel, along with enriched narratives for missions. AI will be actively used to furnish the open world.

As you can see from the last two points, the game will accept missions, likely daily and weekly. Moreover, the environment will be pre-adapted to several special events, hinting that the surroundings might get a complete overhaul, occasionally.

Currently, we have no reports on who will lead the project.
