Nintendo Switch 2 handheld console is rumored to be revealed in the next month. That’s according to a popular leaker Nate the Hate’s Podcast on YouTube, who claims that Nintendo could use the Game Developers Conference (GDC) to showcase the Switch successor.
The Japanese gaming console company tweaked Switch 2 at Gamescom held last August. However, the company has not responded to the requests for comment yet.
“Nintendo WILL announce the Switch 2 in March. Everything I’m hearing dating back to Gamescom last year has indicated something was happening in March.”, said Nate The Hate in the podcast.
“That talk has resurfaced in the past few weeks, and it is indicating that the Switch 2 is set for a reveal or an announcement in March.”, he continues.
Nate The Hate is a notable leaker who also commented that Xbox isn’t going fully multiplat.
Could be True?
Given the eagerness and speculations from gaming communities, there is no morning to the night of rumors and leaks. Whether the rumors are true and Switch 2 is in the queue is yet to be authorized.
However, a report by UniversoNintendo, spotted by GameRant, adds a strong thought to the rumors being true.
The report pens that there are multiple development companies and publishing partners of Nintendo who are preparing to announce their projects.
In addition, some retail shops are already painting Switch 2 pre-sales. Also few developers were reportedly working on Switch’s successor handheld.
Even though the Switch console has a strong fanbase with sales of over 139 million units, the road won’t be easy on them. It is said that PlayStation is also working on a new handheld console which will have a custom AMD APU. This might be a tough competition to Nintendo Switch 2.
