A leaker has allegedly shared a slide from a Sony presentation, showcasing the sales of the company’s biggest titles in the first two years. Insomniac leads the charge by selling over 35 million copies of Marvel’s Spider-Man (18.9 million), Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales (12.5 million), and Ratchet and Clank (3.9 million).
The report’s authenticity has not been verified, and Sony nor Insomniac has not officially responded. Nonetheless, the slide reveals the sales of some of the other first-party games released since 2017, along with their Metacritic scores.
- Horizon Zero Dawn: 10.3 million
- Gran Turismo Sport: 7.8 million
- Days Gone: 7 million
- Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart: 3.9 million
- Ghost Dir Cut (Remaster): 3.3 million
At the bottom of the slide, there is a statement saying, “The slide says Ratchet PS4, but indicates a June 2021 launch, and an 88 MC score. Seems much more likely to me that the “PS4″ bit would be the typo. So not only did the RA break even rapidly and make a significant profit in year 1. It had good legs prior to its inclusion in Plus at least”
Here MC is the Metacritic score.
