The publishing director of Larian Studios, the developers behind Baldur’s Gate 3, has confirmed the Deluxe Edition of Baldur’s Gate 3 won’t be a limited edition. With the current stock holding steady, he urged players not to go for preorders at higher prices.
Deluxe Editions, being mostly limited items, tend to go out of stock very quickly. Trends follow the process of being price doubling on reseller websites. This merely benefits the sellers, more than the actual gamers. So, this might be a very welcome move, likely to be praised.

Just FYI the Deluxe Edition is *not* a limited edition and stock is holding steady, with more waves being prepared within the Q1 2024 shipping window, so if you see them online being resold based on confirmed preorders at higher prices, skip it. There won’t be stock scarcity.

Even though the Deluxe Edition is set to ship in the first quarter of the next year, the pre-orders are live on the official Baldur’s Gate 3 website, priced at $79.99 for PC, Xbox, and PS5. However, in contrast, the reseller websites are listing the same edition between $200 to $300.
We confirmed a minimum order but we already blitzed past that in the first day, and the Q1 shipping date allows us to simply increase wave sizes without jeapordizing the shipping date so we expect any issues within that 4 month buffer window. WEIRDLY ORGANISED considering it’s us
