Baldur’s Gate 3 and The Lord of the Rings: Gollum Joins PlayStation Plus Premium

PlayStation Plus Premium is looking forward to expanding its extensive game library by adding two titles, 2023’s best – Baldur’s Gate 3, and The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. As a part of the free game trial, PlayStation Plus Premium members can play The Lord of the Rings for an hour, meanwhile, Baldur’s Gate 3 allows 2-hour playtime.

PlayStation Plus is an online subscription service from Sony Interactive Entertainment, enabling players to access 300+ games. In addition, Game Trial is an interesting feature, which allows users to try the game without actually buying it.

Both games were released earlier this year, the two titles share oxymoronic success.

Baldur’s Gate 3 and The Lords of the Rings: Gollum on PlayStation Plus Premium

On one hand, Baldur’s Gate 3 has seen remarkable success and is a foremost contender for 2023’s Best Game. Meanwhile, the Lords of The Rings was poorly welcomed by the gamers.

IGN rated The Lords of the Rings with a score of 4, marking it “Bad“. The reviewer Koreis stated, “The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is filled with dull stealth, bad platforming, and a pointless story, and does little to justify why anyone should take the time to play it.”

On the contrary Baldur’s Gate 3 has been rated with the IGN score of 10, with the label of Masterpiece. The reviewer Leana Hafer stated, “With crunchy, tactical RPG combat, a memorable story with complex characters, highly polished cinematic presentation, and a world that always rewards exploration and creativity, Baldur’s Gate 3 is the new high-water mark for CRPGs.”
