War Thunder ‘Sky Guardian’ Update will feature Hunter F.58, jet fighter

War Thunder Sky Guardian Update is the most anticipated one that is about to feature a large number of inclusions. With recent additions of Duguay-Trouin, Pantsir-S1, and AH-6M helicopter, the update will introduce the new Jet Vehicle F.58.

The new squadron vehicle will be part of the next major update, Sky Guardian, which is an export version of the Hawker Hunter jet fighter. F.58 is a subsonic aircraft, equipped with unique camouflage, air-to-air missiles, and air-to-surface missiles as well.

Features of F.58 Jet Fighter

  • Air-to-air and air-to-surface missiles
  • Good maneuverability at high speed
  • Countermeasures

The esteemed squadron will serve to be a good choice for pilots due to access to Flz Lwf 63/80 air-to-air missiles (AIM-9P3 Sidewinder). In addition to air-to-air missiles, the fighter plane is capable of delivering huge warheads to the surface as well.

However, the F.58 Jet is not the only aircraft to be mentioned in the Sky Guardian War Thunder update. YAK-141 is one of the summonings in the upcoming update of this year. It is the most advanced carrier-based aircraft, with a speed of 1.5 Mach. YAK-141 is perfect for air-to-air as well as surface attacks.

  • Supersonic
  • Deadly air-to-air missiles
  • VTOL capability
  • Advanced electronics
  • Lacks air-to-surface guided munitions

However, the YAK-141 is vulnerable due to the low speed it possesses. It stands no chance against the aircraft that might be twice as fast as it. Given that the aircraft is endangered by its speed, it is mainly to provide air assistance to troops.

War Thunder is a free-to-play vehicular multiplayer combat video game, available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and macOS.
